Our visit to Croke Park

On Wednesday the 20th of November 02 the 5th class of room 7+8 went on their school trip to Croke Park this is what happened……… First of all our tour guide Sinead took us to the service tunnel and then into the unlucky dressing room no.1 The reason they call it unlucky dressing room no.1 is because every team that got changed in that dressing room would always lose but infact the Ireland team love to get changed in there. After we were finished looking around the dressing room Sinead our tour guide took us through the service tunnel that took us onto the pitch. After that we went up onto the Cusack Stand and told us the history of all the stands. When we were finished that we had a look around the new museum and then we went up to the games room it was great fun. Soon after that we went downstairs to have are lunch and to are surprise DJ CAREY the famous Kilkenny player came downstairs and signed all of our autographs IT WAS GREAT FUN!!!!!!

We started off going to service tunnel to the personal dressing rooms. Number one was considered the unlucky dressing room but for Dublin it was the inspiration room and they always wanted to use it. After that we stampeded through the tunnel out on to the Cusack stand and our tour guide Sinead told us all about the history of Croke Park. Then we went up to the skybox and that was where they did all the business. After that we went up to the games room and played target practice with hurling and a Gaelic football. Then we went to a twelve-minute film. Soon enough we had lunch and met the himself DJCarey.  by :Cillian  & Patrick

On Wednesday the 5th classes from Scoil San Treasa went to Croke Park. The first thing we did was watch a video of two All-Irelands in 1997 in Croke Park. After that we went to the museum in Croke Park. In the museum they showed us the history of the GAA. Then our guide Eoin took us to the games room. In the games room they tested us on our grip, our balance, our aim and our reaction’s. Next Eoin took us on the tour of Croke Park; we saw the dressing rooms, the pitch and the stands. After our lunch Mr. Cadigan asked D.J Carey if he would come and talk to us and he did. He gave us all autographs and we got some for the school.
