Dear Parents,  

Influenza A (H1N1)

The HSE has informed us that they will be vaccinating children between the ages of 5-18 in schools between now and the end of term, starting with larger schools. We have not yet got a date for our school and will advise you when we know. Information packs/consent forms are to be distributed through the pupils. Christmas Cards
Christmas cards designed by the pupils in various classes are available from the secretary’s office. The Parents’ Association organised the project with the assistance of the class teachers and pupils.

Nativity Plays
The Junior Infant Nativity Plays will be performed on Thursday 17^th at 09.00 (Ms. Coleman) and Monday 21^st at 12.45 (Ms. Cunningham)

Novelty Day
Ranganna 6 have organised their annual charity fundraiser for Thursday December 10^th 

Safety
Some years ago, with the Parents’ Association, we provided a path for the children to use when coming from the church car park to the school gate and vice versa. Staff sacrificed a number of parking spaces to enable the provision of this path. The PA committee and school authorities encourage you to use this path to ensure the safety of pupils. It has come to my attention that a small number of parents are parking on the church forecourt and on this path at assembly and dismissal times. Please note that no parent cars are permitted between the car park and the school gate at any time during the school day or during after-school activities. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

We need to update our school emergency forms and our data base and have distributed pink sheets for this purpose (Senior Infants to Rang 6, except Ms. Mullin’s class who had already updated information). Please ensure the sheet is completed and returned to class teacher.
