The African Elephant

 

 

 

Status : Endangered

Description: 10f tall weighing 5,400kg(6tonnes)

Colour : Grey

Diet: roots, grass, leaves, fruit and tree bark

Skin: wrinkled skin

Behaviour: during hot weather they wash themselves in nearby lakes.

Environment/Habitat: Blazing hot sun. there trunk are used as mouths and help keep them cool.

Threats: Its endangered because it has ivory trunks which are hunted if made in to a piano makes it more valuable.

Protection: In the 1980’s the cities made them endanger species and they could no longer be killed.
