Description:
Scaly skin, can grow up to 15 feet in length, eats a lot of fish and small
animals, its fourth tooth from the bottom is visible when its mouth is closed.
Behaviour:
Less aggressive than the Nile and Australian crocodiles and rarely seen by
people.
Habitat:
Normally found in fresh waters mixed with salt waters such as coastal wetlands
and canals.
Threats: They are hunted for their hides, poaching and the loss of
habitat are the greatest threat faced by the American crocodiles.
