BRIAN O’DRISCOLL VISITS SCOIL SAN TREASA
On the 4th
of December 2007 the captain of the Irish rugby team, Mr. Brian O’ Driscoll
came to our school. The purpose of his visit was to raise our school’s Green
flag, which was awarded last school year. He spoke to the whole school in our
hall. He signed a ball and a jersey. The
ball was raffled off at our school’s Novelty Day, which raised 3,664 Euro for
charity. Philip in Rang a Sé won the ball. We raised 632 Euro on the rugby ball
raffle. The jersey is to be framed with a picture of Brian receiving the Triple
Crown and will be displayed in the school. It was an honour to host Brian
O’Driscoll and we hope to invite him back to raise our second green flag, when
it is awarded.
