Cardinal Connell’s Visit To The Rise!!

Last Wednesday 13/2/2002 Cardinal Connell paid a visit to our school. It started with a mass,  the school choir from 3^rd to 6^th class sang beautifully. There were seven servers from Scoil San Treasa serving the mass. A huge number of people turned out for the mass, which included 5 different schools!! The cardinal gave the mass and he gave out the ashes. Everyone was eager to shake his hand and meet him. At about 11.30 the Cardinal visited 6^th class (The Confirmation class) He told us what to expect from the Holy Spirit. He also paid a visit to 2^nd class (The Communion class) He talked to them about the big day. It was a great occasion.
