Coral Reefs

They are becoming endangered because people are putting dynamite in to it to get tropical fish, but it mostly paralyses them.

Trawling can be devastating for Coral Reefs. It is estimated that over 24 billion animals are killed when the boats use their fishing nets to get rare fish! The nets are dragging the wildlife and plants everywhere, and then the remains are just thrown out!!

Cyanide Poisoning is lethal to the fish. The poison floats on the surface, and kills a great amount of little fish. This type of hunting is illegal. It is estimated that only one in ten fish survive cyanide poisoning.

Coral Reefs have been referred to as the rainforests of the sea due to the large number of animals that inhabit it.

It takes centuries for a coral reef to develop, but an instant to destroy it with dynamite.

Coral Reefs are filled with beautiful, amazing and rare types of fish, such as the Hawaiian Monk Seal, The Soldier Fish and The Green Sea Turtle. But every day they are becoming rarer, and rarer, and soon they will be extinct.
So please, live the fish alone that inhabit the Coral Reef!!!
