The Coming Of The Dé Danaan

They lived in the four cities of the sky. On the first day of May they came to Ireland. They found people called the Firbolgs and challenged them to battle. They overcame the Firbolgs and took possession of Ireland. Nuada, king of Dé Danaan had his hand cut off in battle. He made a hand out of silver, which was perfect in every way. Not far from Ireland, lived the Formórians, planning to steal Ireland from the Dé Danaan. So they went to battle. Balór, the evil eye brought his warriors to the battlefield. Balórs eyelid drooped before the Formórians could raise the eyelid Lugh drove his sword and killed Balór with a single blow. The Formórians fled from the battle and left the Dé Danaan to rule Ireland in peace.
