The Giant Panda

Status:
The giant Panda is an endangered species because humans are taking away the trees and forests. They also sell the pandas fur.

Description:
Giant Pandas are 165-353 pounds and they 4-5 feet long, including the tail, which is 5 inches.

The panda’s coat is black and white and is slightly oiled to prevent water penetration.

Their diet consists of 99% bamboo and small amounts of fish rodents and vines.

The pandas vision is very poor but its smell is excellent.

Behaviour:
Pandas are very shy and don’t live anywhere humans inhabit.

Environment/habitat:
Pandas Live in Most parts of Asia. They sleep in beds made from leaves to keep warm.

Protection:
A law has been passed to save pandas and their forest. It is against the law to hunt Pandas for their fur.
