            Kenneth Oppel Comes To Visit Us

Kenneth Oppel author of award winning Silverwing, Sunwing and Firewing came to visit us on the 31^st of January. The classes of 4^th class, 5^th class and 6^th class came together in the school hall for a talk in which Kenneth Oppel showed and told us about his books. It was a very exciting time and we learnt a lot about him. He showed us slides on bats and some cartoon drawn images of the characters of his story in which is going to become a cartoon series. He answered some of our questions and signed our books. It was great fun and I hope he comes again.

Kenneth     Oppel ’s   Visit  to  Our    School

  Kenneth  Oppel  the author of the award winning Silverwing saga came to our school on January 31^st 03 . He is from Toronto in Canada .When he wrote his first book he was fifteen years old.He became interested in writing when he was twelve. The silverwing book is about a bat called Shade who is about to set off for his first migration with his colony when he gets blown off course in a storm.He meets a bat called Marina and they set off to try to catch up with there colony.He showed us slides of what real bats look like and of  what the characters in the T.V series look like.He became interested in bats when his friend told him about them. Kenneth Oppel asked his friend to recommend some books so he could learn about bats.

Kenneth Oppel comes to visit our school.

Kenneth Oppel a Canadian writer came to our school on the 31^st of January 2003. He came to talk to us about his award winning books Silverwing, Sunwing and Firewing. His books our about two bats called Shade and Marina who meet two evil bats called Goth and Throbb. He showed slides of the bats that his characters are based on and what his characters look like in the cartoon. He wrote his first novel when he was 14 it was called Colin’s Fantastic Video Adventure. We really enjoyed it and would love if he came back next year.

Kenneth Oppel Drops By

On the 31st  the award winning autor Kenneth Oppel visited our school. Kenneth Oppel is an author from Toronto , Canada and has written books such as: Silverwing , Sunwing and Firewing.He arrived at half past nine. The classes fourth , fifth and sixth gathered in the hall to listen to his talk. He hadbrought with him animations from the soon to come cartoon series.

It was an all round good day and we wish him well in his writing career.
