The Sea Turtle

Name: Caretta caretta

Status: Endangered or threatened

  1. Large heart shaped shell
  2. Sea Turtles are carnivores.
  3. It can grow up to 6ft and weigh 78 to 190 lb.
  4.  They also eat crab, lobster, shrimp and jellyfish.
  5. The top of the shell is called the carapace, it is reddish brown edged in yellow.

Fact:

1.            No one knows how female turtles find their way back to their original habitat.

Environment/Habitat;

1.      They live in shallow coastal waters of warm and temperate seas on

2.      They are found mainly on the Galápagos Islands.

  Threats:

1.         There threats are mainly Pollution and human activities.
