Step 2.       We Conducted An Environmental Review

Scoil San Treasa conducted a Class Litter Survey on Thursday October 13^th 2005. The aim of the survey was to establish the type and quantity of litter generated throughout the school. This was done within each classroom.

Two pupils from each class and the class teacher were involved in the audit of classroom waste. Pupils from 5^th class helped Infant level pupils with the survey. The school caretaker reported that, at this point in time, Scoil San Treasa was filling two large bins every week for the land-fill collection.

The results of the Litter Survey were collated by 5th class pupils and displayed on the Green Notice Board.  Members of the Green School Committee reported on the findings at the school assembly.
