THE TAJ MAHAL

WHERE?

The Taj Mahal is in India. It was built on they Yamuna. It was built in northern India.

WHEN?

It was built in December of 1631

WHO?

Emperor Shah Jahan built it. He was third in line for the throne. To become emperor quicker he murdered his two older brothers.

WHY?

Emperor Jahan built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife Mumtaz who died in childbirth.

HOW?

The Taj Mahal is made from marble. It took 20 laborious years with the efforts of 20,000 workmen and master craftsmen. To find out more click HERE.
